FAQ

  • Are you LGBTQ+, kink, and polyamory affirming?

    Wholeheartedly, yes.
Your identities, relationships, and desires are valid. We are committed to providing informed, nonjudgmental, and celebratory care for LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent people, those in ENM/polyam networks, and kinky humans.

  • Is therapy with you religious or anti-religious?

    Neither.
We support clients deconstructing harmful religious experiences and those rebuilding a meaningful spiritual life. We don’t shame belief or unbelief — we honor your story and autonomy.

  • What types of clients do you work with?

    We work mostly with:

~Teens, young adults, and adults (of all ages)
    ~Queer and trans folks
~Neurodivergent thinkers (ADHD, autism, gifted, etc.)
~Individuals navigating identity, sexuality, trauma, or unknown emotional stuck points
~People who feel like they never quite “fit the mold”

If you’ve ever felt “too much,” “not enough,” or “out of place,” we’re here for you.

  • What therapy approaches do you use?

We blend evidence-based modalities with authentic human connection.
    Our framework includes:

    ~IFS (Internal Family Systems)
    ~Trauma-informed care
    ~Attachment-focused therapy
    ~Mindfulness & somatic awareness
    ~Sex-positive approaches

We don’t force one method — we tailor therapy to your needs, not the other way around.

  • Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! We are currently a telehealth practice serving clients located in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

  • Do you take insurance?

    Yes!

We are in-network with: Aetna, BCBS, Optum/UHC, Cigna, Carelon, Quest, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey (virtual network), Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania (virtual network), Kaiser Permanente of the Mid Atlantic, Anthem EAP (VA & TN), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (virtual network) and Lyra EAP.

We are out-of-network with all other insurance providers at this time.

We can provide a superbill for reimbursement if your insurance allows it

HSA/FSA cards are welcome as payment as well.

  • What are your rates?

    Because transparency is important:

    Individual therapy: $150 per session

Group Offerings (ENM/poly/kink-inclusive): $50 per session per person.

We also reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots to support accessibility. Please ask if cost is a concern.

  • How long does therapy last?

It depends on you. Some people come in for a few months, others for a few years.

Our goal is never to keep you stuck in therapy — it’s to help you feel empowered, supported, and capable.

  • What if I’m nervous to start therapy?

    Totally normal.

Starting therapy is vulnerable, especially if past support experiences weren’t affirming. We go slow, check in often, and build trust step-by-step. You don’t have to perform here — just show up as you are.

  • Can we talk about sex?

    Please do.
We are kink- and sex-positive, and we believe sexuality is a meaningful part of human experience. Whether you’re curious, questioning, or healing — you’re safe to explore that here.

  • What happens in the first session?

    We’ll talk about:

    1. What brings you in
    2. What you’re hoping for
    3. What support looks like for you

And we’ll get to know each other without pressure or expectations. It’s a joint step forward.

  • What if you’re not the right fit?

    Therapist-client fit matters.
If we discover you’d be better supported by someone with different expertise or lived experience, we’ll help connect you to the right provider — no hard feelings, ever.

I’m one email away.

I know that sending this one email might feel like climbing a mountain, but you can do it. You don’t have to talk on the phone unless you want to — I understand how anxiety-provoking that can feel. We can take everything one step at a time through email, and from there, the path becomes smoother. I see you. I hear you. And it’s perfectly okay to not be okay.
