Individual Counseling

Therapy Centered on You

Individual counseling at Mosaic Minds Therapy is a collaborative, affirming space designed to meet you exactly where you are. There’s no expectation to be “put together” or certain about what you need. You’re allowed to show up messy, unsure, grieving, curious, overwhelmed — or simply tired of carrying everything alone.

Our work together is about creating space for your full humanity. You will be listened to without judgment, respected in your identities, and supported at a pace that feels sustainable for you.

What Individual Counseling Looks Like With Mosaic Minds

Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes and may occur weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on your needs and goals. Some people come for a shorter season of focused support (5–8 sessions), while others choose longer-term therapy (10+ sessions). We’ll regularly check in together to make sure our work continues to feel helpful and aligned.

This is not a one-size-fits-all process. Therapy with me is:

  • Collaborative, not directive

  • Curious rather than prescriptive

  • Grounded in compassion, not shame

  • Adapted to neurodivergent needs and communication styles

I won’t tell you who to be or how to live your life. Instead, we’ll explore what you want, what’s getting in the way, and what might help you feel more at home in yourself.

What We Can Work On Together

Individual counseling can support a wide range of concerns, including (but not limited to):

  • Anxiety, depression, burnout, and overwhelm

  • Identity exploration (LGBTQ+, gender, sexuality, relationships)

  • Religious trauma, faith deconstruction, or spiritual grief

  • Ethical non-monogamy (ENM), polyamory, and relationship navigation

  • Neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, giftedness, etc.) and navigating a world not built for you

  • Kink-affirming and sex-positive concerns

  • Self-worth, self-compassion, and shame

  • Life transitions, grief, and loss

  • Trauma and nervous system regulation

  • Boundaries, communication, and relationship patterns

You don’t need a “perfect reason” to start therapy. Wanting support is reason enough.

My Approach

My therapeutic style is eclectic and tailored — meaning I draw from many evidence-based and depth-oriented frameworks and adapt them to your needs, goals, and nervous system.

Approaches I may integrate include:

IFS • ACT • CBT • DBT • Compassion-Focused Therapy • Person-Centered & Strength-Based approaches • Inner Child Work • Somatic & Polyvagal Theory • Expressive Arts & Poetry Therapy • Motivational Interviewing • Feminist, Narrative, and Psychodynamic frameworks • Jungian/archetypal work (including tarot-based imagery) • CPT • Solution-Focused Therapy, and more.

You don’t need to understand these approaches — my role is to translate them into something that feels accessible, grounding, and useful.

I’m one email away.

I know that sending this one email might feel like climbing a mountain, but you can do it. You don’t have to talk on the phone unless you want to — I understand how anxiety-provoking that can feel. We can take everything one step at a time through email, and from there, the path becomes smoother. I see you. I hear you. And it’s perfectly okay to not be okay.
